When collaboration is already blocked because disruptions have occurred, mediation or conflict resolution can be beneficial. Mediation is a way to resolve conflicts together in a goal-oriented manner. The different perspectives on the situation are examined jointly – in an effort to precisely understand the actual reasons for the conflict. This enables the parties in conflict to constructively find solutions that are viable for both sides and to return to a productive workflow. Conflict resolution facilitation (Klärungshilfe) is a mediation format for conflict situations between people. It also examines the emotional background. This enables the parties involved to find solutions for collaboration themselves. The clarity gained from this process restores the parties' ability to take action toward resolving the conflict.
